THE OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT AND OMNISCIENT DIVINITY as DIVINE MOTHER has manifested herself in ever so many names and forms out of compassion on us. One such comprehensible manifestation is Hardwar an ancient Holy City of pilgrimage where millions of people throng all the year round. Most of the devotees are of old age & suffer from various eye ailments. Similar was the plight of the poor & destitute persons living in Rural, Urban & Tribal areas of Hardwar as well as in the whole of Uttarakhand State who were facing the problem of treatment of their eye ailments, as there was no proper facility of such treatment. ‘GANGA MA’ as Holy Ganges, purifies the soul, the mind and the body of millions day in and day out. Yet in one more way, it had prompted a few noble hearted philanthropists to form a trust called ‘GANGA MATA CHARITABLE TRUST’ as conceived & founded in 1992 which had started ‘GANGA MATA CHARITABLE EYE HOSPITAL’ at Haridwar in 1993 with the purpose of providing the best care to one of the most important organ of the body, the EYE.

 Started with a humble beginning, the hospital has grown from strength to strength to the present state of being recognized as a premier institution for the treatment of Eye ailments in the state of Uttarakhand. Later a Dental wing was added because such facility was also not available in the area. This 60-bedded hospital is proud of having been endowed with the most advanced and expensive equipments and most courteous & devoted staff apart from clean and divine atmosphere. The best part of it is that all this is available on charity basis to those who can't afford the same irrespective of race or faith, caste and creed.
